OTJCEis heieby given that par ties desirous of bringing out their friends, or settlers wishing to get out immigrants, can obtain passages for them from Great Britain to the Colony, by paying to the Provincial Treasurer the sum of FIVE POUNDS for each adult of twelve years and upwards ; children between twelve and one halfprice ; and infants under one year at time of embarkation, free. The money must be paid when application for the passage is made ; but if the Immigrant nominated does not accept, the £5 deposit will be returned. J, D. GRMOND, S uperintendent. OTICE is hereby given that Go vernment Insurance and An nuities Offices, under " The Government Annuities Act, 1869," and " The New Zealand Government Insurance and Annuities Act, 1870," have been opened at the Pest Offices at NAPIER, TAURAJSTGA, GREYTOWN, And all the principal Money Ordei Offices in the Colony. The following advantages are «ecure«? by special provisions in the above mentioned Acts ; 1. Up to a certain amount, Assur ance Policies bona Jide effected by the Assured upon his own life, and Endowment Policies, and Annuities purchased for the benefit of Wife or Children, are exempted from the operation of Bankruptcy Acts, and from seizure under legal process. 2. Up to a certain amount, Married Women may effect Policies, and dispose of the money assured by will, as i* single ; and such Policies are free from the debts and control of their husband**. 3. Insurances may be effected for the benefit of Wife and Children, with power to apportion anion nt; and such insurance is to be free from the claim of creditois, to the extent of £2,000. All persons wishing to obtain Life Insurances, Endowments, Annuities, immediate or deferred, or other advantages under the Acts, will receive every information and the necessary forms on application at any of the above named offices.
