Gold showing freely at the junction of the leader and reef, The Bendigo Independent crushed 1,30 tons, which yielded 3,6:6 jozs. melted, gold. The Queen of Beauty have lodged 360 z. of gold, the result of several clays' irregular crushing, the average being a shade over an ounce. The Thames View crushing is looking well for over an ounce. The Nonpareil reef, low level, is contracting towards the Waitemata. The Multum in Parvo manager and directors are down here. They have secured the services of Messrs Hesketh and Mac Cormick, and a local solicitor* Opinion is doubtful who will gain, Shares well held. Market easier during the early part of the dav, and brisker towards evening. Caledonian, £115; Thames, £22 10s ;. Nonpareil 80s;. All Nations, 955.
