Greenwich, cutter, from Moeangiangi Mary Ann Hudson, ketch, from Wairoa Napier, s.s., from Auckland via Poverty Pay Star of the South, s.s , from Auckland Why Not, ketch, from Wellington Three Brothers, schooner, (laid up) Mahia, cutter (lightering) Una, steam launch, from Wairoa PROJECTED DEPARTURES. Star of the South, s.s., for the Thames and Auckland, at 4 p.m. to-mo«\row Napier, s.s., for Poverty Bay, at 8 p.m. on Wednesday next. Maori, s.s-, for Wellington and Southern Ports, on or about Thursday next, 16th instant favorite steamer Star of the South, Gapt. Holmes, brought up in Ahuriri roadstead at 430 yesterday morning, and entered the Iron Pot at 3.30 p.m. She left Auckland at 430 p.m. on Thursday last, 9th inst., and rounded Vhe East Cape at 9.30 p.m. on Friday, having experienced light westerly winds thus far, with fine weather. Passed Portland Island at 2.30 p.m. on Saturday, and encountered very strong W. and S.W. wind during that night, accompanied by heavy rains, and thunder and jightning. Was well up the Bay at midnight, at which time she hove to until the day broke, ?vhen she steamed up to the usual anchorage, arrivirg at the hour mentioned above. She brings a cargo of 10,000 ft. timber, 6,000 bricks, and about 15 tons general m r jhaudise. The barque Ballarat, having at latest dates, nearly completed the discharge of the Auckland portion of her home cargo, was expected to sail for Napier about Wednesday next,lsih instant. The barque Polly Lewis left Boston for Melbourne and Dunedin during September, with a large cargo of kerosine, tobacco, pine jiumber, &c. The barque Jewess, with a large cargo of kerosine, rubber boots, pine lumber, &c, was to leave New York for Dunedin on the 12th Pctober. The brig Challenger, from Adelaide, with 1,300 bushels wheat, arrived at Auckland on the Bth inst. The following is a list of the Napier portion of the cargo of the ship Chile, now on her yoyage from London to Auckland;—23B pkgs, 100 cases, Watt Brothers; 5 cased, Luff; 76 packages, Heslop; 3 cases, Holder; 2 cases, address; 1 case, Williams j 11 packages, prefer. The ship City of Auckland, now on her voyage from London to Auckland, has now on board **■ 3 pkgs., order," for transhipment to Napier.
