Passed Portland Island at 2 p.m. yesterday, and lay-to for about 2 hours in consequence of a thick fog. Arrived here as above. Had fine weather on the passage.— The Keera steamed southwards at 5 o'clock this afternoon. The steam launch Una returned to port from Wairoa this afternoon. The s.s. Star of the South, hence for the Thames and Auckland this day week, had arrived at the latter port, and was tp Imve left again for Napier at' upon yesterday. The schooner Hero sailed for Wairoa and |f ohaka last night, with a general cargo. The brigantine Amherst, in ballast ? took heir departure for Newcastle this afternoon, having been towed over the bar by the s.s. J£oera. The brigantine Flirt, with a large cargo pf breadstuffs, from Lyttelton} arrived at Auckland on the 7th inst.
