She may be expected to return to port to-night. We understand that the s.s. Napier will steam for Poverty Bay on or about Wednesday next, 15th inst. Since her stay in port, this favorite steamer has been undergoing extensive re-fitting, &0. It will be seen from advertisement that the fine ss. Maori is appointed to leave this port for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin on or about Monday next, I3th inst. She comes in place of the s.s. Beautiful Star, previously announced to steam hence for the South on Tuesday, 14th inst. The brigantine .Amherst will sail for Newcastle, N.S.W., to morrow or the next day.
