Hero, schooner, for Wairoa, early The ss. Napier, from Auckland via Tauranga and Poverty Bay, arrived in port at 6.30 last evening. Captain Bendall reports having left Auckland on Wednesday, the 25th inst., arriving at Tauranga at 2 a.m. on the 26th; landed passengers and cargo, and left Tauranga at 2 p.m. the same day. Arrived at Poverty Bay at 1 p.m. on the 27th, and left again at 7 a.m. on the 29th (yesterday) arriving here as above. Experienced fine weather throughout. The s s. Ahuriri took her departure for Wellington and the South pn Saturday evening at 6 o'clock. The brig Maggie, for Newcas'le, in ballast, sailed hence yesterday morning. The schooner Hero will, we believe, come pff Mr Days ? slip to-night, and will then be placed on the berth for Wairoa.
