The s.b. Ahuriri, Captain M'Kinnon, from the South, arrived in the roadstead at 1.30 this morning, bringing a full general cargo and several passengers. She left Port Chalmers at 3 p.m. oil the 19th inst., and arrived at Oamaru at 7.30 the next morning. Discharged cargo, and left again oh the 20th inst., at coon, arrived'at at 4 p.m. Left at 9 o'clock on the same evening for Lyttelton, and arrived there at 11 a.m. on the 21st. Left Lvtte'lton at 3.30 p.m. on the 23rd, and arrived at Wellington at 3.30 p.m. on (he 24th. Left Wei liugton at 9 p.m. on the 25th, and arrived iiere as above.' Fxperienced fine weather throughout the trip. The ketch Glimpse, hence on the 19th inst., arrived at Wellington on the 24th. Her cargo of wool—the'first of thisseasou's clip from the coast stations —had been transhipped into the ship Halcione, for London. The brigantine Esther left Wellington for Castle Point on the 24th inst. The s.s. Napier, from Auckland via Tauvajjga ar.d Poverty Bay, may be expected to put in an appearance to-morrow morning. The brigantine Flirt, from Auckland, ar rived at Lyttelton on the 21st inst. The barque Acacia, from Hobart Town with a cargo of timber, arrived at Lyttelton on the 21st inst., after a splendid passage of # days. The brig Star of the Mersey, from Adelaide, bound for Lyttelton with a cargo of flour, put into Wellington on the 21st inst., short of supplies. A steamer now building at Wanganui is intended for the Patea, Eangitikei, and Manawatu trade, for which she will be ready in about five months. "'' Tie ship Electra, Capt. Sellars, arrived at Wellington on the 16th inst., after a pleasant passage of 97 days from London. She was the bearer of a large general cargo and several passengers. <*«•■» <•.
