Crest of the Wave, schooner, for Auckland, on Tuesday next The Colonial Government steamer Luna, Capt. Fairchild, having the European and American mails via San Francisco, per p.s. Nebraska, arrived here at an early hour this piorning, from Auckland via Tauranga, after a stormy passage from the latter port. She steamed hence for Wellington immediately after landing and taking on board mails, &c. The brigantine Amherst, we are glad to say, js again af oat, the efforts made to get her off the bar having been crowned with success last pight. She was brought inside this morning, and moored alongside the outer wharf. The U.S., N.Z., and A. mail p.s. Nebraska, Capt. Harding, arrived at Auckland at 2 a.m. on Tuesday last, after a smart passage of 15 days. She was the bearer of a cargo of flour, and sundries, and 56 passengers for different ports. The schooner Crest of the Wave will probably sail for Auckland about Tuesday next, with a full cargo of oil, tallow, soap, flax, and maize, shipped by Messrs. V\ att Brothers. The s s. Napier, hence for Poverty Bay and Auckland, arrived at the last-mentioned port on Tuesday last, August 12. We learn that on the passage up she got ashore on the bar at and remained there for two days No damage was eustained. The Napier may be expected to return to this port about Tuesday next.
