AUCKLAND LITE STOCK MARKET. (Reports to August 25.) [MESSRS. HUNTER AND NQLAN.] Cattle ; There was a tolerable muster of dairy pows ap4 fat stock, but stores were in insufficient numbers for pressing wants, the inquiry being for well-bred thriving steers. Dairy cows were slow of sale at from £5 to £lO 12s 0d ; one and-a-half tp two-year-old steers, \ from £3 to £5 2s 6d. Fat beaats, as a rule | were not sufficiently up in condition, prices being irregular, ranging from 25s to 32s 6d per lOOlbs. ' Sheep were penred in moderate numbers, and prices were firm at from 16s to 295.
AUCKLAND SHARE MARKER. (Reports to August 30.) [MESSRS. "W. J. HUJJT AND CO.] Owing to the inclemency of the weather, not much business was transacted to-day. Caledonians were in request at £l3O to £132 10s ; Thames, £26 ; and for Central Italy there was a good demand at 45s ; Goldqu Calf, 60s j Ptago, £4 2 \i 6d | Nonpareil, £5 17 s 6d ; Tokatea'iNo. 2,2 s. [MR. J. NEWMAN.J The sharetnarket remains very quiet. Cale« dqr.ians advanced this morning, but did not :ma|ntain the advance. My sajes comprise : paledqnian, £l3O to £135, clqsingjstjle, £125 ; Nonpareil, £5 17s 6d; Alburnia, £4 10s Sellers; Caledonian, £130; Thames, £26; Nonpareil, £6: Moanatairi, £5 to £5 ss.
