Napier, Capt. Bendah, under charter to the General Gover ment, arrived in port about 8 o'clock on Saturday night, from Poverty Bay, whither she returned last evening. The s.s. Lord Ashlry, from Auckland, arrived at Tauranga at 9 o'clock yesterday forenoon, and steamed for this port at noon. —As we go to press, a steamer from the northward is signalled, which may probably prove to be itbe Ashley. The mail steamer Nebraska, Capt. Harding, from Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, arrived in port at 3.45 this afternoon, :*i;d steamed hence shortly afterwards, for Auckland and Honolulu, with the outward mails for Europe, America, &e, via California. The s.s. Bangatira may be expected to arrive here from Wellington and Southern Ports on or about Wednesday next, 9th inst, .and is announced to steam hence for the same ports on the following day.
