AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET. (Reports to July 7.) [MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOLAN.] Cattle : There has been marked improvement in dairy stock, and other kinds have not materially altered in value. At the Jun ction yards, on Tuesday, there was a fair supply of dairy cows, which sold readily at from £8 15s to £LI each j stores were in very short supply, and fat beasts were unequal to requirements, and sold freely with considerable variation in value. We quote beef, from 23s to 28s. At Papakura, on Wednesday, there was a fair supply muster, but the late severe weather having materially detraoted from condition, as well as the appearance of stocks purchasers were indisposed to purchase, except at a shade lower figures j while holders, in anticipation of improved rates as spring approaches, look for an advance ; consequently sales wers not prime, but sold at prices varying from lis 9d to 15s 6d per lOOlbs. At Bemuera, on Thursday, dairy cows were plentiful, and without alteration in values. Well-bred yearlings were in enquiry at a slight advance. Two to three year old steers and dry cows were rather lower in price. Fat cattle were in moderate supply—B6 head being penned ; prices were lower, and about 20 head were withdrawn. The sheep market was better supplied than for several weeks, but a large number were in store condition, and purchased by the grazier. Pat sheep obtained a further advance of about id per lb. Dairy cows brought from £5 5s to £lll7s 6d each ; dry cows, from 40s; yearlings, 555; two year-old steers, £3 5s to £3 15s; three yearolds, £4 to £6; fat cattle, of good quality, 20s to 2§s, but the greater part brought from 22s the 100 lbs. Store sheep, half bred, mixed sexes, 7s 6d tp 9a 3d each; fat sheep, from 3£d to 4d per pound.
