CLEARED OUTWAEDS. JULY. 10 —Star of the South, s.s , 147 tons, Holmes, for the Thames and Auckland, with 58 head cattle, 340 sheep, M'Hardy ; 1 horse, Watt Brothers (agents ) The mail steamer Nevada, Captain Blethen, from Wellington, Lyttelton, and Du.edin, arrived in port about 8.30 this morning, and for Auckland shortly afterwards, with the outward mails for Europe, &c, via San Francisco. The schooner Crest of Wave, Capt. A. Bell, from Dunedin via Oamaru, arrived in port at 7 p.m. yesterday. The master reports leaving Dunedin heads on Eriday 30th June, at 7 a.m. Arrived off Oamaru at daylight next morning, but could not get to an iiU-'hor until the night cf the 2nd inst. Took in about 45 tons cargo on Monday, and left for this port on Tuesday, 4th inst. Experienced light bafn\ng weather till off Cape Palliser ; from thence, heavy W. and N.W. gates u.ail arrival hero as above. The s.s. Star of the South, for the Thanes and Auckland with a cargo of sheep and catjfcle, took her departure at 12.45 p m. to-day. The s.s. Lord Ashley, from Tauranga and Auckland, may be looked for here about Wednesday next. Tlie ship Beth Shan, from Londpn, has, we learn, arrived at Nelsou. As our readers are doubtless aware, a small portion of her cargo is for this port, and will be transhipped.
