AUCKLAND LITE STOCK MARKET. -(Reports to June 30.) [MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOLAN.] .Cattle : The market this week has been thinly supplied with stores, for which a demand has existed at an advanced rate. Dairy cows offered in excess of requirements, and priced receded from 20s to 30s per head. Fat cattle were in full supply, but mostly of se cond-rate quality. Top sorts met with brisk competition, which is likely to be the case for some time, as really well-fatted bea3ts are scarce, and the few holders are disinclined to sell at current rates. Dairy cows sold from £8 to £9 5s ; yearlings and eighteen mouthsold sold from 37s Qd to £2 17s 6d ; beef from 24s to 27s jSd per 100 lbs. Sheep offered in limited numbers, and mostly of inferior description ; vendors looking for extreme rates, several pens were withdrawn. Those of medium and good quality sold readily at from 12s 6d to 17s 3d ; lambs, lis 6d each.
