Thursday, July 6. The University social gathering was attended by over nine hundred people. Judge Chapman and the principal speakers strongly advocated admission to female students. The evening classes are highly successful, and nearly sixty have already joined. There was a keen competition for the Knox Church University scholarships. Ferguson of Tokomairiro gained.
