(agents ) THE Circular Saw Company's ss. Lord Ashley, Capt. Andrews, from Wellington and Southern Porte, arrived in the roadstead at 9.15 this morning. Wo are indebted to Mr Pringle, the purser, for files. — The Ashley si earned for Tauranga and Auckland at 2.15 this afternoon. The brigantine Esther, Capt. James Campbell, arrived in the roadstead about 8 o'clock this morning, bringing a general cargo from Wellington, which port she left on Saturday last. The schooner Hero, Capt. John Campbell, from Wairoa, arrived in harbour at an early hour this morning. The brig Maggie was brought inside last evening, and moored alongside the outer wharf. Whilst this was being done she ran foul of the stockyard erected on the wharf, and carried away her jib-boo in ; she also lost the stock of one of her anchors. The ketch Why Not resumed her voyage to Porangahau during last night. The schooner Meteor sailed hence this morn ing for Auckland via the coast. We understand the steam launch Una will belaid up to morrow for the purpose of undergoing a thorough overhaul. The schooner Crest of the Wave, with a general cargo for this port, was to have left Dunedin on the 28th ult. The s.s. Rangatira, from Lyttelton and Dunedin, arrived at Wellington at 2.15 p.m. on Saturday last. She left again for this port at 2.15 this afternoon. The ship Edinburgh Castle, from London, arrived at Wellington on Sunday last, after a passage of 118 days. Sho was tho bearer of a large general cargo. The ship England left Wellington for London on the 30th ult., with a cargo of wool, flax, tallow, skins, &c, the estimated value of which is £44,002. We observe from our Wellington files that. Mr John Martin has sold the s.s. Ahuriri to a Southern firm at a slight advance on what he gave for her.
