Monday, July 3. Sutherland's Crushing Company report that out of 70 tons of stone (about 30 tons of which is from the new tunnel) the yield was 2 clwts of retorted gold. Ten tons of quartz from the new reef in the middle of the claim yielded two dwts of gold. The drive along the reef for 70 feet has changed its appearance, and is becoming more like the old tunnel stone.
