WELLINGTON.
Wednesday, June 38. The mail steamer Nevada arrived here at 6 o'clock last evening, 17J hours from Napier. She steamed for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers at 10 o'clock last night. Mr Waterhouse does not go to Aus tralia on a mission connected with the mail service, as contemplated; was never offered the Postmaster-General-ship, and has not joined the Ministry as reported, The Estimates will be considered in the Provincial Council to-night.
