The supply of fat beasts was scarcely equal to requirements, but; stocks being short, a brisk demand has existed at fully last quotations, and several orders for top sorts remain un fulfilled. We sold dairy cows, at calving, frqm £lO 5s to .£l2 7s 6d; store cows, M to £5 2s 6d ; two-year-old and one-and-a-half-year-old steers, from .£3 15s to £i 7s 6d; beef, from 23s to 26s per 100 lbs. Sheep: Stocks of provincial are short, and holders looking for higher jates. Shipments since to, fyand not having arrived, our market was sparsely supplied; all that offered met with ready sale at an advance of from Is to 2s per head. Haif-breds sold from 13s to 17s 3d ; merino wethers, well-iktted, from lis to 15s 3d each. Pigs were in better supply, and were well competed for.
