Luna, Captain Faircbild, left Napier at 2 p.m. on Friday last, 16th inst., and arrived at Poverty Buy at daylight on Saturday. Embarked a number of natives, and left Turanganui at 9 o'clock the same day. At daylight on Sunday morning arrived off William Ring's settlement (between Opotiki and the East Cape) ; landed natives, and left at 7 a.m. the same day. Arrived at Poverty Bay at daylight yesterday morning, and left at 7 o'clock 1 *st night for Napier, arriving here at 6 30 this morning. Had very changeable weather throughout. Capt. Eairchiid reports having, off Tologa Bay on Sunday • last, passed a schooner bound south, spposed to be the Meteor, for Napier. The s.s. Rangatira, Capt. Renner, left Wellington for this port at 3.15 p.m. yesterday, and arrived here at noon to-day. She is the bearer of a large general cargo and a fair complement of passengers. Wo understand that the schooner Crest of the Wave may be shortly expected to arrive here with a general cargo fropi Dunedin. The ketch Mary Ann Hudson will leave for Wairoa as soon as the weather permits. The Circular Saw Company's s.s. Lord Ashley, hence at 10 a.m. yesterday, arrived at Wellington at 11.45 this morning. The New Zealand Steam Navigation Company's s.s. Wellington, hence at 12.15 p.m. yesterday, arrived at Wellington at 1.40 this afternoon. The U.S., N.Z., and A. Co.'s mail steamer Nevada will, according to a time table published in the Auckland papers, be due at that port on the 21st instant (tomorrow ) The brigantine Esther has been hauled alongside the breastwork, opposite the late N.Z.S.iS. Go's buildings. It is the intention pf Captain Campbell to lay her up for a time, as there is very little doing on the coast for small vessels at present, the wool season being over.—Wellington Independent, June 17.
