AUCKLAND, LIVE STOCK MARKET. (Reports to June 16.) [MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOLAN.] Houses : Not quite so many have been brought forward as in the beginning of the month, but there is a continuous demand for all descriptions of really., good young and thoroughly broken. The brought under the hammer on Situidny were weeds, and sales consequently limited, but moderately-good horses soil at satisfactory prices; hacks, at from £(V to £9 7s 6d j light draught horses, from £lO 10s to £ls 2s 6d each. Cattle : There was an increased number of dairy cows offered, but stores scarce, and the fat stock were not nearly prime enough. Dairy cows, at calving, were well competed for, and first class animals would command extreme rates. Store sales nominal. Pat beasts were readilv brought up by the trade, and really top sorts could have been placed at an adva i ced price. We sold dairy cows, from £9 7s <»d to £ll IS*; two year old heifers, £4 7s 6d to £5 2s 6d ; calves, £1 10s to £2. Beef, about 26s per 1001 b.,,., Sheep were penned in short numbers, and sold freely, fully sustaining last week's prices. Best quality sold from 15s to 17s 6d ; merinos, from 9s 6d to lis each. Pigs were short of reqairement, and those of a medium weight find ready purchasers at extreme rates. ■?:' .'■ •■ ■''
