The s.B. Star of the South, Capt. F. Holmes, from Auckland, brought up in the roadstead at about 11 o'clock last night. SMe left Auckland at 4 30 p.m. on Tuesday last, 13th inst. ; passed Cape Colviile at 9.30 p.m.; rounded the East Cape at 11 p.m. on Wednesday ; was off Portland Island, at 6 o'clock last evening ; anchored in the roadstead as above, and pntered the Iron Pot at 6 o'clock this morning. The s.s. Napier steamed for Auckland via Poverty and Tologa Bays at 12 o'clock last night. The s 1. Una steamed for Tqngoio this morning, with a view of endeavonring to recover the wire recently lost overboard from the Why Not's boat. The C.G-. p.s. Luna steamed for Poverty Bay this afternood. The brigantine Kenilworth arrived at Auckland on the 11th inst. after a capital passage of 6 days from Levuka (Fijis) During the passage, Mr William Bates, 27, a passenger, died of dysentery. The brigantine Flirt, 9 days from Lyttelton, arrived at Auckland on the 11th inst., with a large cargo of wheat and oats. The schooner Leonidas arrived at Auckland pn the 12fch inst., 11 days from Levuka.
