Monday, June 12. A Woman named M/Donald, in alter cation with her husband at Mangatna, threw a pitchfork at him, which entered hia -ide. There are little hopes of his recovery. She has been arrested. The desirability of the University Councils amalgamating has. been affirmed by both, provided the Ofago University retains full control over present and future endowments. The members of its Council are to be constituted a corporation of the administration of its local affairs. The intrusted powers conferring degiees to rest solely with the Colonial University. The Otago professors to form part of a Board of JExaminers.
A woman named Eastman has been thrown out of a buggy at Lawrence and killed.
