By the courtesy of J. M. Tabu lean, ]Esq, Collector of Customs, ha\e been favored with a sight of the still recently brought in from Wharepango. It seems to be a a ery compact and perfect apparatus of its kind, capable of .effectively and rapidly accomplishing its object We also saw the apparatus apparently used for mashing the malt and preparing the wash for distillation. The still appears to have no " worm " proper, but instead of it a couple of straight tubes of some nine or ten feet long, which, being subjected to the action of a continuous How of cold water over their surfaces, would eftect the object of condensation quite as certainly i—The case comes before the Resident Magistiate again on Friday.
