TAURANGA.
Saturday, June 3. The schooner Tauranga, from Auckland, arrived in harbor this morning. The following is a summary of news by this opportunity : The Thames gold-fields still continue piosperoa'-'. The Golden Anchor had a crushing of 13 cons? stone, which yielded ounces of gold. Great dissatisfaction is manifesled by shareholders in the Caledonian claim with Mr Howe, the manager. The mine is still looking well. The Alburnia has obtained some magnificent specimens. The mine is looking well, The Poverty, Charleston, and Bass Rock have taken out some very rich ytone. The Golden Lion has taken out a hundred weight of specimens. The Junction are crushing from their new reef. Mr Mitchell, M PC, has pleaded guilty to a charge of using abusive language to the chief Taipari, and was hound over to keep the peace for six months in two sureties of .£SO. The case of the man Bird, who %as charged with stealing specimens from the Nonpareil claim, was going on at latest dates.
