The O*"ago Daily Times says :-•-" In reference to the woollen manufactory about to be established by Air Arthur J. Burns, at Mosfjiel, East Taieri, to which we have before called attention, we now learn that the plant was shipped on the Helenslee, which sailed from Glasgow on the 27th January, and may be expected here about the Ist of May. It consists of a full set of carding engines, one pair of mules with 650 spindles, four blanket and two tweed looms, finishing, washing, and milling machinery, and a pair of engines pf thirty-two horse power, with Corni.-h pollers, having Galloway's tubes. The machinery is of the very best description, and contains the latest improvepients. Coming out as passengers by jihe same vessel there are twenty-four workmen —twenty-one ofc whom are adults—and a gentleman to manage the establishment who has had extensive experience in some of the best nmnnfactorie* in Lanarkshire, and other parts of Gr( at Britain It is expected [•hat the works will be in operation by {he month, of August next."
