Mr. Colenso to move— To ask His Honor the Superintendent whether he intends to bring in a Bill to amend the Toll gate Act. Mr. Colenso to moveTo ask His Honor the Superintendent to obtain from the Provincial Engineer an estimate of the probable cost which would be incurred in removing the present Tollgate to a site at the Ngaruroro Bridge. Mr. Johnston to ask His Honor the Superintendent— If it is his intention to bring in a Bill, during the present session, to amend the Scab Act, in so far as it relates to foot-rot. Lieut.-Colonel Lambert to move— That a Committee be appointed to take into consideration the working of the present Sheep and Scab Act, to take such evidence as can be obtained as to the spread of the disease known as foot-rot, and to recommend such changesin the present system as will make it efficient and beneficial to the interest it is intended to protect. Such Committee to consist of Messrs. A'Deane, Tiffen, Johnston, Eussell, Maney, Bridge, and the mover. Mr. Dolbel to ask—

Committee of Supply. COMMITTEE OF SUPPLY. Capt. Russell to ask— That His Honor the Superintendent be requested, in preparing the estimates, to place upon them a sufficient sum of money to complete the road from Taradale to the Puketapu School-house, providing the necessary bridges, culverts, and metal. Mr. Tanner to move— That His Honor the Superintendent be requested to place the sum of £IOO on the estimates to assist the work that is now being carried on in the Papakura district, for the purpose of making the road permanent. Mr. Dolbel to move— That His Honor the Superintendent be requested to place the sum of £3O on the estimates to repair bridges, and complete the upper Mohaka road. Mr. Kennedy to move— That a sum of money be placed upon the estimates to be given either as prizes for rifle shooting or for the purpose of reducing the price of ammunition used by the Militia and Volunteers in practice. Mr. Sutton to move— That His Honor the Superintendent be requested to place upon the estimates the turn of £SO as a grant in aid to the Napier Athenaeum. Mr. Rhodes to moveThat His Honor the Superintendent be requested to place on the estimates the sum of £IOO to ass : st the formation of and laying down culverts on the main road from Clive to the Te Aute road ; also, the sum of £6O for a new bridge on the old Clive road, to replace the old one swept away by the heavy floods three years ago, to the great inconvenience of the inhabitants of the adjacent country.

Mr. Tiiten to move— That the salary of Provincial Treasurer be £250 per annum. Lieut-Colonel Lambert to move — That His Honor the Superintendent will place on the estimates a sum of money sufficient for making and metalling 5 chains of the Middle Road on the Flat near

Douglas and Hill's house ;. J also, road to be laid off to the Tuki Tuki River, requiring as grant in aid £ls. This was promised to be done some time ago. Mr. Tanner to move— That His Honor the Superintendent be requested to place the sum of £1 0 on the estimates for the importation of insectivorous birds. Mr. A'Deane to moveThat His Honor be requ sted to place a sufficient sum .upon the Estimates to metal the road formed by the Government in the Township of Waipawa. Mr. Bridge to moveThat His Honor the Superintendent be requested to place the sum of £su on the estimates to assist in making the necessary cuttings on that portion of the North Eoad between Tikokino and the Tuki Tuki river. Mr. Rhodes to move —• That His Honor the Superintendent be requested to place the sum of £35 on the estimates for importing insectivorous birds into the province from the various Acclimatization Societies in New Zealand, and the neighbouring colonies. Money to be dealt with by the H.B.A.C. Mr. Tanner to moveThat His Honor the Superintendent be requested to place on the estimates the sum of £SO to enable the Eoad Board of the Havelock District to cut a drain along the road in the Pukahu Block, about 90 chains, as it will assist materially in draining a good deal of unsold Government land. Mr. Maney to move— That His Honor the Superintendent be requested to place a small sum on the estimates for the purpose of widening the culverts between the Meanee bridge and the Puketapu hills.
