The Colonial Government p.s. Luna, Captain Eairchild, from Auckland, via the coast, arrived in port at 10 o'e'ock this morning. The s.s. Star of the South is appointed to steam for the Thames a;'.d Auckland at 10 p'clock to morrow morning. The schooner Saucy Las* took her depar ture for Auckland via the coast at noon to-daj. The s.s. Rangatira left Wellington for Kaoier last evening at 7 o'clock. The s.s. Lord Ashley, hej.ee, arrived at Wellington at 2.30 p.m. 10-day. The following is from the Fiji Times of the 15th April respecting tbe schooner Kauri:— ,( The Kauri had not arrived in Auckland when the Strathnaver left, at which tiuie she was 48 days out from Levuka. It is possible that she may have struck upon some reef, and be lying there cut eff from communication with the outer world, and hoping to be picked up by some passing vessel. She may be on the Conway or even ?he Minerva reef; and we hope any vessels leaving here will go a little out of their course in order to sight these reefs, in the possibility of the Kauri being on ©ne of them."
