Two men have been recently convicted at Ennis, Limerick, Ireland, of perpetrating a brutal outrage, by way of a practical joke, upon an intelligent little boy of 8 years of age. Under pretence of making him a Freemason they burnt him so severely with a red-hot pok<*r as to cause his death. The Lord Chief Baron, on their conviction, sentenced them to nine months' imprisonment each, with hard labor.
