AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET. (Report to April 21.) [Mil. ALFRED BTJCKXA.-ND.J On Saturday last fodder was in usual supply, and met with a steady sale at the advance quoted in last week's report. Horse stock were in moderate supply, and dull of sale ; very little bussinoss done. The sale held at the residence of Air Wallace was thinly attended ; bidding was dull, and prices both for stock and implements ruled low. At the liemuera yards on Saturday, dairy cows of good guality were in limited number, and met with a good sale. Inferior cows were at low prices, and dull of sale. Calves and yearlings sold irregularly, and barely maintained previous prices. Two year old steers, in fresh condition, were in larger than usual numbers, and met with a steady demand at advanced prices. Eat cattle were in full supply, 130 received, all sold of best quality at an advance over last week of 2s 6d the 100 lbs., but those of medium quality were relatively dull- of sale. Fat sheep were in average supply, 385 sold ; improved prices were obtained for them. Pigs were in limited number and without alteration in value. Fat calves scarce at extreme value. The following were the prices obtained : —Best cows at calving, £9 to £ll 10s ; inferior, £5 6s to £8 ; dry cows, from 50s to £5; store calvfcs, 20s to 35s 5 yearlings, 50s to 65s ; two year olds, £5 15s to £6 L2 6d ; fat cattle of best quality, 27s 6d to 30s; inferior quality, from 22s 6J the 100 lbs,; fat sheep, "half bred, 2f d to 3sd ; merinos, 2£d fhe lb.
