PUBLIC WORKS, TAUPO ROAD. TENDERS are invited for the CONSTRUCTION of a DRAY ROAD on the Sections hereinafter numbered and described. The work to be done consists of Formation, Bridge, Culvert Erection, Draining, and Bush No. 7.—From the end of No. 5 con tract, at the edge of the Church - lane, Mohaka River, to a distance of one mile towards Te Haioto ; the ground principally level. No. B.—From the end of No. 6 contract to a further distance of one mile in the direction of Te Haroto; the work principally side-cutting. No. 9.-—From the end of No. 7 for a distance of 100 chains (more or less) towards Te Haroto; the work principally side cutting. No. 10.—From the end of Rawiri's contract at Waione Creek to the first creek past Mr Bold's old camp. The distance is estimated at 70 chains, and the work is principally bush clearing, draining, and formation. No. 11.—From end of No. 9 to Anau or Stoney Creek. The distance is estimated at 100 chains, and the work principally side cutting, formation, with a little bush clearing. No. 12.—From end of No, 10 to meet the Constabulary work near Taruweia, distance 80 chains. The principal work consists of bush and side-cutting.

Separate Tenders will be received tor the following additional Works, on the Sections just mentioned . I.—For the erection of the necessary Culverts and small Bridges between Mohaka and Te tiaroto. 2.—For the erection of the necessary Culverts and small Bridges between Waione and Tarawera. 3,—For the erection of a Bridge across the iStoney creek, about 60 feet lorn*. 4. —For the erection of the proposed Bridge across the Waipunga, near "the Nunnery"; length, 90 feet. Specifications can now be seen at the office of the Undersigned, Napier. Each Tender must be accompanied by a deposit of ,£lO, as a guarantee of good faith, which sum will be forfeited should any tenderer refuse to sign the contract in the event of his Tender being accepted.
