U powers vested in me in that behalf by the New Province* Act, 1858, of the General As.sembiy of the Colony of New Zealand, I, Singleton Rochfort, Enquire, principal Returning Officer of the Province of Hawkes Bay, do hereby appoint that the first meeting of the recently elected Provincial Council of the said Province, for the despatch of business, shall be holden at the Provincial Council Chamber, in the Town of Napier, in such Province, on SATURDAY, the twenty-second day of April instant, at the hour of three o'clock in the afternoon.
