DUNEDIN.
Thursday, April 6. The Prize Firing Representatives met with a most miserable reception. They will be entertained at a dinner this evening. The Roman Catholic Bishop (Dr Moran) has issued a pastoral, threatening to anathematize parents sending their children to the Otago common schools, which excites much attention, and is condemned by the outside public. Her Majesty's ships Blanche and Rosario are to be recom missioned at Sydney. Captain Montgommerie, of the Blanche, goes home, and is to be succeeded by Captain Thrupp. The Virago returns to England, and will be replaced by the Basilisk, which carries six guns. The ship City of Dunedin sailed for London to-day, with a full cargo. The schooner Crest of the "Wave sailed for Nupier.
