A man named Trivett died rather suddenly in Christehurch on March 25, from what was supposed to be an attack of English cholera. A New Zealand Gazette, issued on the 27th March, intimates that Isaac Earl Eeatherslon, Esq., having resigned the office of Superintendent of the Pro vince of Wellington, his Excellency, on behalf of her Majesty the Queen, accepted such resignation on the 25th March.
