Wednesday, March 8. The Cfty of Melbourne has sailed, with the English mail and 99 passengers.
At the recent interview between Mr M'Lean and Eewi, no demand was made for the surrender of Todd's murderers, or of Tapihana. Rewi, who spoke in a friendly spirit, declined coming to Auckland to discuss matters, with the Government.
Hewitt and Harris, pedestrians*, have arrived, and intend visiting the South. At the Colonial Prize Firiug there were forty-six competitors. The weather was fine and clear.
