Friday, March 10. The Governor arrived last night. During his visit, he will turn the first sod of the Clutha line. He has been well received. He leaves on Tuesday. The quartz reefs of the Lake district are attracting attention. The reefs found have proved payable, and the exports keep up wonderfully. This districts alone sends 4000 ounces.
Disturbances between the Europeans aud Chinese are imminent.
Scarlet fever is spreading. There have been four deaths at Switzer's.
