CLIVE. The polling for this district took place yesterday, and resulted in the return of Mr Joseph Rhodes by a large majority. The numbers polled were—Rhodes, 40 ; Russell, 7. WAIMARAMA. [by electric telegraph.] The nomination took place yesterday. The writ having been read by Mr Tiffen, Returning officer, the following propositions were made : Alfred Chafman. Proposed by Mr David Henderson; seconded by Mr Arthur Edward Russell. J ohn Buchanan. Proposed by Mr Joseph Witherow • seconded by Mr John Stockman Buchanan.
