Thursday, Feb. 16. Great excitement among shareholders to-day. Nearly two tons of rich specimens from the Caledonian claim are ready for crushing. Shares in the Caledonian are selling at ,£6O. Thames Mining Company shares at £l2. Inquiry is brisk for Waitemata, Belfast, Inverness, Tookeys, All Nations, Junctions, and Long Drives.
The East Coast election has resulted as follows :—Kelly, 138 ; Mackay, 64 ; Skeet, 52.
Te Kooti has fled into Waikato.
