Hawke's Bay Races.—On Wednesday the first event was the Maiden Plate, ,£SO, which was On by Jenny Lind, Akeake second. For the Scurry Stakes, £3O, there was no race. Earl Crosvenor walking over. A hack race, for <£lo, was won by Despatch in both heats. Hawke's Bay Stakes, of £SO, was won by Yatterina, Titokowaru second. Yesterday the Provincial Produce, of .£4O, was won by Hikutoto, Express second. The Frne Handicap, of £4O, was won by Yatterina, Nebula second. The Optional Selling Stakes, of £35, was won by Slander, Brerwalder second. The Consolation Handicap, ,£3O, was won by Bretwalder, Earl Grosvenor second. The third day's sport was poorly attended, a general opinion prevailing that two days was quite sufficient for our annual race meeting.
