Poverty Bay Fruit. —Messrs Routledge, Kennedy, & Co. advertise a sale of apples and plums from Poverty Bay, to take place to-morrow at 2 p.m.

It will be remembered that at the firing of district representatives a short lime ago, only two Chicken and Renouf— qualified themselves to take part in the Colonial contest at Auckland. We are now glad to hear that another opportunity will be afforded by the Government to the Province to send its full complement (three). Of course the two already qualified will not fire again.

The Rev. G. Morice returned to Napier by the Lord Ashley this afternoon.

We believe that the writs for the election of members for the Provincial Council came to hand to-day by the Lord Asdiley.
