The English Mail via San Francisco will be due in Auckland on Saturday next, 11th hist. Eight Immigrants, per Celseno from London to Wellington, arrived here to day by the Lord Ashley. Soap Export.—An export of eight and-a-half tons of soap from the Hawke's Bay Soap and Candle Works will take place this evening per Lord Ashley for Auckland. We learn that it is in contemplation to have a rifle match on one of the race days between some eight or nine picked men of the Rifle Volunteers and a proportionate number of others of the same corps.

The monthly inspection parade of the Napier Rifle Volunteers took place yesterday afternoon and was remarkably well attended. After inspection, the men were engaged for a short time in skirmishing drill. Before being dismissed; Major Withers expressed himself as very well pleased with the clean and efficient state of their arms and appointments.
