Monday, Feb. 6. The total yield of gold for the mon<h of January is 11,865 ozs. from 6,832 tons of stone.
Dividends declared during last week amounted to £12,550. The Caledonian mine took out 700 cwt. of specimens on Saturday last. A rich gold field is reported from the upper Tararu district. Mr W. T. Swan, for the Thame'*, and Mr James Mackay, junior, for the East Coast—both opposition mem —are likely to be elected to the Assembly.
