The schooner Three Brothers sailed for Tongoio last evening The cutter Lapwing sailed for Dunedin early this morning. The ketch Why Not is on the berth for Fiji—to sail early next week. The s.s. Napier, Captain W. Bendall, from Wairoa, arrived in port about 7 o'clock last night, with wool, apples, &c, and several passengers. She steamed for Mangakuri this afternoon, in ballast, and will return to port with a cargo of wool. The Pioneer, a little steamer bult by Mr Thomas Henson, of Wanganui, made her trial trip a few days ago on the Wanganui river, and with 251bs of steam a speed of 5 and a half knots was obtained.
