DISTRICT PRIZE FIRING.
The competition for the district prizes for the District of North Napier commenced yesterday morning. The wather was fine, and the shooting rather above the average, though higher individual scores have been made on previous occasions. We append a list of the successful competitors, together with their scores and the amount of the prizes ; FIRST SET (400, 500, and 600 \ards.) A. H. Blake, N.K.V., 44 points, first prize—Snider rifle, medal, and £lO J. Dinwiddie, N.M., 41 points, second prize— £S J. Close, N.R.Y., 39 points, third prize,£6 J.
