AUCKLAND.
Tuesday, Jan. 17. The New Zealand Herald contains telegrams from Waikato which have proved to be unfounded, Mr M'Lean goes to Tauranga tonight. The Prince left to-day. The Galatea goes to the Cape, and the Olio to the South. Before leaving, the Prince gave .£SO to Auckland charities. Telegrams from the Thames published in the Auckland papers stating that, the natives oppose the overland ma\l to Tauranga are untrue.
