Musical Society.—We are request ed to state that vocalists will (weather permitting) meet for practice to-morrow (Thursday) evening at the usual place and hour. Members are requested to bring their parts of "Lay of the Bell," and any other music oi the Society in their possession. Instrumental practice on Wednesday next, 18th inst. The Weather.—Heavy and almost continuous rain has been falling since our last, and a vast quantity of water has come down the local rivers into the inner harbor. This morning at high cide the Spit was partially flooded, and as the rain has, with but slight intermission, continued falling during the day, it is probable that at tnis evening's tide the flood will be more extensive. A large volume of water is now rushing out of the harbor into the Bay, which will be checked by the flowing tide. Much damage to crops not yet gathered in is anticipated. The wind, which yesterday afternoon was from the eastward, changed during the night, and a bleak souther now prevails. The sea in the Bay has fallen considerably.
