A fire broke out last evening in the jnaltiug-hquse of the White Swan Ibe'wery, by which a large quantity of malt was destroyed. The fire was fortunately extinguished before the building was injured. Resident Magistrate's Co.urt. — *fhis morning, before S. Locke, Esq., 1&.M., tjie cross-actions of Roper v. Wilson and Wilson v. Roper were heard. The first was an action to recover <£6 fax driving certain horses into town from Ruatani wha ; and the other, was a glaim of 410 for a horse which had jjeen lost fcy defendant. — Judgment
