Mb. Branigan, we learn, may be expected by the Rasgatira, from "Wellington, to-morrow. The Weather during last evening and to-day has been excessively sultry, and there is now ejvery appearance of rain. Cadet Corps.—His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to accept the services of the Napier Rifle Volunteer. Cadet Oorps. Cobb's Coach was overturned yesterday on its way to town this side of Jakipaki through one of the wheels giving way. The passengers escaped ( without injury. A fire broke out last evening in the jnaltiug-hquse of the White Swan Ibe'wery, by which a large quantity of malt was destroyed. The fire was fortunately extinguished before the building was injured. Resident Magistrate's Co.urt. — *fhis morning, before S. Locke, Esq., 1&.M., tjie cross-actions of Roper v. Wilson and Wilson v. Roper were heard. The first was an action to recover <£6 fax driving certain horses into town from Ruatani wha ; and the other, was a glaim of 410 for a horse which had jjeen lost fcy defendant. — Judgment
