Wednesday, Dec. 28. The Annie Brown has arrived from iVJaaritiu* with a full cargo of sugar. The Provincial Council has been adjourned to the 10th January. Recent Waikato advices report that the King natives are in a very excited state. A man named Denis M'Mann has been bvu-ned to death at Riverhead; and another man named Gilbert has been drowred in the Waikato river. Sydney advices report that the ship Lyttelton to Melbourne has been wrecked in Bank's Straits. The Sydney Morning Herald and the Melbourne Argus condemn New Zealand concluding the new postal contract without having first consulted New South Wales and Victoria The Sydney Herald advocates that Mr Cowper should proceed to Washington to urge the claims of New South Wales.
