Sunday, Nov. 4. Qn the second reading ..of the Appro: priation Bill the Government were defeated by a majority of four. Mr Hurst, moving an amendment expressing the dissatisfaction of the Council with the estimates, the Executive resigned. Yesterday, Mr Hurst was sent for. The provable Eex ecu live are Lusk, Sheehan, Mitchell, and Hurst, without office. A meeting was held yesterday to discuss questions relative to encouraging local industry, and a resolution was passed to petition the General Assembly to impose an income and property tax. The names of Todd's murderers are Patoa, Naru, Terangitira, and a woman named Ileni, belonging to the Haritoro settlement. There is another alarm at Tauranga, in consequence of the reported proximity of Te Kooti. Southern wheat, ss.
