THE HAWKES BAY TIMES lias, by order of Mr Justice Johnston, been constituted a Gazette or Newspaper in which Notices required by the Bankruptcy Act 1867, § 8 and the Bankruptcy Act Amendment Act 1863, § 3 to be published in the Gazette may be published in and for the Province of Hawke's Bay.
A tradesman of Devonport, who some years ago saved & nava} officer from drowning, has lately been handsomely rewarded for his bravery. The officer, who had ri?en to be a rear-admiral, died a short time ago, leaving, it is said, the sum of £7,000 to his preserver.
