Tuesday, Nov. 22. The house of Mr G. Scott, Lake Heron Station, was burnt down on the 19th inst. It was uninsured. Mr Scotfc estimates his Joss at .£4OO. A shepherd named James IVi'Rae was, on the 20th inst., on Mount Son,mers Station, killed by being thrown from a horse and dragged. Mr B. Hart intends to institute legal proceeding* against the validity of the Oxford election on the ground that six of his supporters were prevented from voting, their names being struck off the roll notwithstanding they still possessed qualifications.
